The Story Behind bbagels
How It All Started
It all started with friends who loved the bagels we made at home. From there, our friends started ordering for their weekend brunch, and then their friends did the same until the orders grew so large that we made so many bagels, we asked ourselves, “Why not open a small bbagel shop?”
Why the Double B?
We always serve our bagels hot. When you eat something hot, it can sometimes make you stutter. The simple answer is that our bbagels are so good and hot, they’ll make you stutter.
Why Montreal?
A. Montreal is our home
B. Montrealers love bagels as much as we love making them
Why This Neighborhood?
At bbagels, we believe in community. Pointe-Saint-Charles is a unique combination of the old and the new. While the neighborhood is open to progress and new things, the values of its residents—where neighbors talk, share, and show kindness and warmth to each other—haven’t been changed by that progress.
Why Are Our bbagels bigger Than Our Competitors?
The answer is simple: because size matters! When something is really good, you want more of it.
What’s the Story Behind the “Hot bbagels” Shout?
It’s our way of welcoming every new batch of big, hot bbagels. The fun part is that slowly, our regular customers have started joining in the shout, and we hope that before long, every time the oven timer goes off to signal that the batch is ready, everyone in the shop will shout with us.
What’s the Secret to Our bbagels?
They’ve been known to put a smile on people’s faces.
They also tend to disappear very quickly, but don’t worry… We always have a fresh, hot batch ready for you!
If Our bbagels Could Talk, What Would They Say?
“You had me at ‘Hello’ ;)”
Why Do We Make bbagels?
Because seeing people’s reactions after their first look, their first bite, and seeing them come back for more with a big smile on their face makes our day wonderful.
Why Is It Impossible to Resist Our bbagels?
Every bite makes you want another, but come take a bite and tell us what you think.
What Do the Birds Think of Our bbagels?
Here’s what they actually think.
